Wine – produced in a winery, born in a vineyard!

– Rob

Explohr Wine Company seeks out vineyards and growers pushing boundaries, exploring unique or unusual varieties, and growing fruit that complements our fresh and youthful winemaking style.

Breezy Slope Vineyard

Breezy Slope Vineyard is our source for Pinot Noir. The vineyard sits on the eastern edge of the Walla Walla Valley AVA in the foothills of the Blue Mountains. At around 1700 feet in elevation, it is one of the higher elevation vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley. At a little over 20 acres, Breezy Slope Vineyard is one of the few planted primarily with Pinot Noir.

Carousel Vineyard

Carousel Vineyard is our source for Gamay Noir. Originally planted in the early ’80s, Carousel Vineyard has been around in the Washington Wine Industry since the early years. Carousel Vineyard plantings include mainstay varieties like Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, some esoteric plantings like Grenache, Viognier, Roussanne, Petit Verdot, and the largest single vineyard planting of Gamay Noir in the state of Washington. The top of Carousel Vineyard at 1250 ft elevation overlooks the Yakima Valley AVA.
